Payments

If you would like to settle or make a payment arrangement, please contact us using the email above. For security reasons, always confirm the official payment details with our office before making a payment.

Disputes / Queries

If you believe the account is not yours, has prescribed, has already been settled, or you dispute the balance, email legal@idalaw.co.za with:

• Full name and ID number (or company registration number)
• Reference number (if available)
• Reason for dispute and supporting documents (proof of payment, statements, correspondence, etc.)

Requesting Information (PAIA)

Reporting Suspicious Emails / Fraud

If you suspect phishing or fraud, do not click links or share OTPs/passwords. Forward the email to legal@idalaw.co.za and include a short description.

• Account/case information (references, balances, statements, agreements)
• Payment-related information (proof of payment, confirmations, references)
• Communications (emails, call notes, letters, messages)

2. Why We Process It

• To provide legal and debt collection services and manage matters
• To verify identity and communicate with relevant parties
• To negotiate arrangements, record payments, and maintain audit trails
• To comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
• To protect our systems, detect fraud, and maintain security

3. Sharing of Information

We may share information with clients who instruct us, courts, regulators/law enforcement where required, and service providers (IT, hosting, email, security) under confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell personal information.

4. Security Safeguards

5. Retention

How to Submit a Request

1. Download and complete the official PAIA Request Form.
2. Attach a certified copy of your ID document (if applicable).
3. Email the completed form and supporting documents to:

Processing of Requests

Requests are processed in accordance with PAIA and POPIA. We may request additional information to verify identity before releasing records. Statutory timeframes apply.

Possible Refusal of Access

Access may be refused where permitted under PAIA, including:

• Protection of personal information of third parties
• Confidential commercial information
• Legal privilege
• Ongoing investigations or litigation
